Ayr Housing Aid Centre is a registered charity that helps residents of South Ayrshire with housing problems. A major part of the Centre’s work is to provide advice, information, advocacy, representation and support for people who are homeless or are threatened with homelessness.

Information

The Centre's Housing Advice and Information Service is accredited as a Type III agency under the National Standards for Housing Advice and Information. We are one of the first organisations in Ayrshire to achieve accreditation under the National Standards.

The Centre's Housing Support Service is inspected and regulated by the Care Commission.

The Centre's remit is:
  • Provide advice, information and advocacy services to homeless persons, those threatened with homelessness and those in housing need within South Ayrshire.
  • Work with representatives of statutory, voluntary organisations and individuals in identifying the needs of homeless people.
  • Develop training opportunities for those involved in homeless and housing need services.
  • Do all things lawful as are necessary for the attainment of the objectives of the organisation without bias to race, religion, sex or politics.
  • Provide a Housing Support Service.
